Water Officials Encourage Documenting Algae, Pollution at Lake Auburn

The Lake Auburn Watershed Protection Commission is employing a cell phone app to assist water quality efforts. They are encouraging people to use the app to upload photos of algae or other potential water quality issues.

The Maine Water Utilities Association (MWUA) was organized in 1925 by a group of water superintendents who recognized the need to meet on a regular basis, share information and ideas and lend mutual support. The group met regularly and became increasingly involved in matters affecting water utilities.
