The Maine Water Utilities Association is now accepting abstract submissions for our 101st Annual Conference, taking place at the Augusta Civic Center.
We’re looking for knowledgeable professionals to present on a wide range of topics related to drinking water, wastewater, and stormwater. This is your opportunity to contribute to the industry, share insights, and connect with peers across Maine.

We welcome abstracts covering all aspects of water and wastewater systems, including but not limited to:

- Treatment processes and pumping
- Asset management and GIS
- SCADA systems and technology
- Regulatory and legislative updates
- Public relations and community engagement
- Training and workforce development
- Modeling and system optimization
- Billing and customer systems
- Water conservation and reuse
- Benchmarking and performance metrics
- Human resources and succession planning
- Leadership and organizational growth
- Artificial intelligence and automation
- Advanced metering infrastructure (AMI)
- Erosion control and green infrastructure
- Energy efficiency and sustainability
- Cybersecurity and system protection

- Impacts of extreme weather events
Presentation Guidelines
- Standard presentation length is 1 hour
- Extended sessions may be considered based on topic relevance
- No session will exceed 3 hours
- Selected presenters will be notified after review
- Final presentation schedules will be assigned at a later date
- Presentation dates are firm, and availability is required
- If using PowerPoint, it must be submitted at least two weeks prior to the conference
