The Maine Water Utilities Association is now accepting abstract submissions for our 101st Annual Conference, taking place at the Augusta Civic Center.
We’re looking for knowledgeable professionals to present on a wide range of topics related to drinking water, wastewater, and stormwater. This is your opportunity to contribute to the industry, share insights, and connect with peers across Maine.
Submission Deadline: June 30 at 5:00 AM

We welcome abstracts covering all aspects of water and wastewater systems, including but not limited to:

• SCADA systems and technology
• Regulatory and legislative updates

• Training and workforce development
• Modeling and system optimization
• Billing and customer systems

• Human resources and succession planning
• Leadership and organizational growth
• Artificial intelligence and automation
• Advanced metering infrastructure (AMI)
• Erosion control and green infrastructure
• Energy efficiency and sustainability
• Cybersecurity and system protection

• Impacts of extreme weather events
Presentation Guidelines
- • Standard presentation length is 1 hour
• Extended sessions may be considered based on topic relevance
• No session will exceed 3 hours
• Selected presenters will be notified after review
• Final presentation schedules will be assigned at a later date
• Presentation dates are firm, and availability is required
• If using PowerPoint, it must be submitted at least two weeks prior to the conference
