Join Tom’s Water Solutions and MWUA as we explore how utilities can build resilience through cross training and standard  operating procedures (SOPs). As always, expect interactive training with Tom & Dan who will help you design and build your  own SOP during the training. We will also practice using your SOP with small, in-class scenarios before finishing with lessons  learned. Feel free to bring your own SOPs and plans to the session for a final Q&A session.

Wednesday, November 4, 2026, York Police Department (9 Hannaford Drive, York, ME 03909) 

All classes will run from 8:00am to 3:00pm.

Instructors: 

Tom Bahun, Co-Owner of Tom’s Water Solutions LLC, having spent most of his 30 + year career working with  water/wastewater professionals. He has served in many roles and most of his experience revolves around work-place  safety, emergency preparedness, and technical assistance and training. He is a Certified Instructional Trainer (CIT), holds  a Maine Class IV Water Treatment and Distribution Operator license, and a Grade 5 Wastewater Treatment Operator  license. Tom is best known for his exceptional and straightforward training abilities helping many water and wastewater  professionals with their educational needs. 

Dan Bahun, Co-Owner of Tom’s Water Solutions, LLC, helps utilities with their emergency response, rate cases, technical  assistance, and other onsite solutions. He is a licensed operator and offers exam-taking tips & tricks, operator exam prep.  training, and tutoring. Dan brings a wealth of knowledge to help systems build their capacity and improve their resilience.

Cancellations: Due to costs incurred by the Association, if you must cancel, we request that you do so at least 7 business days before  a scheduled class/event. You may cancel by phone or by email, program@mwua.org or mking@mwua.org. Refunds will not be  provided if you do not cancel at least 7 business days before the class/event.
