The Public Relations Committee has officially launched its 2026 planning efforts, holding its Q1 meeting to begin identifying key goals and priority focus areas that will guide the committee’s work in the year ahead. In addition to internal planning, the PR Committee has been meeting regularly with the Communications and Government Affairs Committees to strengthen coordination and identify opportunities to support public relations efforts tied to upcoming internal initiatives and legislative priorities. These cross-committee conversations are helping to ensure consistent messaging and maximize impact across audiences in alignment with MEWEA’s organizational objectives. The committee also intends to leverage the regional support of Black Fly Media to help amplify public messaging around larger issues, especially the future of biosolids management in Maine.

Get Involved

The PR Committee is seeking volunteers who are interested in contributing their skills, ideas, and energy to support future initiatives. Participation is a great opportunity to collaborate across teams, build PR experience, and help shape how MEWEA and the clean water industry’s work and priorities are communicated.
