The course utilizes  content compiled from the leading industry references\, including those from California State University\, Sacramento (CSUS) and the American  Water Works Association (AWWA).  \nThe curriculum covers five core content areas: Treatment Process\, Equipment Operation & Maintenance\, Laboratory Analysis\, Source Water  Characteristics\, and Administrative/Safety Procedures\, with an emphasis on practical application and troubleshooting. Each day will devote time to  mastering essential water math concepts\, followed by relevant water math practice\, ensuring participants are prepared for the calculation portions of  the exam.  \nCourse Dates:  \nThursday\, October 15\, 2026: Basic Microbiology & Chemistry\, Regulations\, Water Sources and Treatment Options\, Groundwater Quality and Wells\,  Surface Water Sources & Treatment\, Treatment Plant Pretreatment and Math Review & Practice. Follow-up Reading: G1 Chapters 1\, 3\, 4\, 5\, 6\, & 7. G2  Chapters 1\, & 3.  \nTuesday\, October 20\, 2026: Coagulation & Flocculation\, Sedimentation & Clarification\, Filtration Fundamentals\, Water Disinfection\, Iron and  Manganese Treatment\, Fluoridation and Math Review & Practice. Follow-up Reading: G1 Chapters 8\, 9\, 10\, 11\, 12\, & 13. G2 Chapters 4\, 5\, 6\, 7\, 8\, & 9. Thursday\, October 22\, 2026: Laboratory Procedures and Water Quality Testing\, Corrosion Control & Water Stabilization\, Lime-Soda Ash Softening\,  Specialized Treatment Processes\, Taste and Odor Control\, Plant Waste Treatment and Disposal\, and Math Review & Practice. Follow-up Reading: G1  Chapters 14\, 15\, 16\, & 17. G2 Chapters 10\, 11\, 12\, 13\, 14\, 15\, 16\, & 17.  \nTuesday\, October 27\, 2026: Pumping Systems\, Electrical Systems\, Instrumentation & Control\, Safety & Security\, Administration\, Records\, & Reporting  and Math Review & Practice. He has served in many roles and most of his experience revolves around work-place safety\, emergency preparedness\,  and technical assistance and training. He is a Certified Instructional Trainer (CIT)\, holds a Maine Class IV Water Treatment and  Distribution Operator license\, and a Grade 5 Wastewater Treatment Operator license.
