POSITION: Water Service Specialist I
JOB DESCRIPTION: The Hampden Water District
has an immediate opening for a full-time water service specialist.
Necessary qualifications include a clean Class 3 driver’s license, and
preferably a State of Maine Class II licensure in water treatment and
distribution. Must be able to work in all weather conditions.
Applicant must be able to lift 50lbs. Rotating weekends and holiday
coverage a must. Excellent benefit package. Pay will depend upon

Superintendent
of Great Salt Bay Sanitary District
This executive position is directly responsible for
the operation of the waste-water treatment facilities located in
Damariscotta (the main plant) and in Nobleboro. This includes the
collection systems for both facilities which extend over these two towns
and also Newcastle. The Superintendent is also responsible for the
operation of the public drinking water system, and its distribution
system, which serves Damariscotta and Newcastle.
A four-year college degree and several years of management experience
are required. Relevant experience with public water/waste-water systems
is highly desirable. The applicant is expected to be an effective
problem solver with demonstrated communication and management skills.

Water Treatment Plant Operator
The Kennebec Water
District is seeking a qualified individual to fill an open water
treatment plant Operator position at its East Vassalboro treatment
facility. The KWD plant is a 12 MGD Microfloc plant with a 5 person
staff. Job duties include treatment operations, lab analysis,
mechanical, electrical, computer(SCADA), maintenance, watershed
protection, and system water quality tasks. Class 4 water treatment
certification required for full position standing. Residence proximity
requirement. Union position. Competitive wage and benefit package. EOE.
